We have an immediate position opening for an F-35 Air Vehicle- Field Service Engineer at Cherry Point, North Carolina. In this exciting position your roles and responsibilities will include: Serving as an NGDS Field Service Engineer for the F-35B amp; C model air vehicles, responsible for supporting technical coordination, troubleshooting technical problems and issues, determining technical solutions in accordance with product specifications, and recommending actions to customer representatives and stakeholders for effective solutions for F-35 Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul amp; Upgrade (MRO amp;U) activities at Fleet Readiness Center-East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC. The position involves significant collaboration with various engineering groups, supply, operations, program office and customer stakeholders. Requires the knowledge, skills and experience to execute comprehensive mod retrofit projects and support post mod air vehicle and mission systems operational checks/tests.

Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite applications. This position involves a wide range of influence and requires a resourceful, independent self-starter able to analyze and solve complex technical and logistical challenges involving communication and collaboration with various engineering and logistics support stakeholders.

will be required to routinely work extended hours and weekends to meet program objectives, support rotating night shift operations and travel intermittently. Selected candidate must be willing to be placed on a 2nd Shift Schedule if required per the contract.

Will be a direct report day-to-day to the Northrop Grumman F-35 Industry Mod Support Team Site Manager at Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications

* A minimum of a Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math Field with 9 years of experience with 5th generation fighter aircraft maintenance, operations and/or modifications environment. (7 years with Master rsquo;s Degree)
* Must have a minimum of 5 years rsquo; experience supporting all aspects of unit and/or depot level aircraft modifications including Contractor Field Team (CFT) support.
* Position requires an active DoD Secret level security clearance.
* US Citizenship
* Candidate must be proficient with researching and interpreting modification engineering drawings and manufacturing/material process specifications etc.
* Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project).
* Must be willing to be placed on a 2nd Shift Schedule if required per the contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior experience working with, supporting and consulting US Military Service and Military Service Depot (MSD) representatives a plus.
* Experience troubleshooting air vehicle and mission systems Health Reporting Codes (HRCs) utilizing the Anomaly and Failure Resolution System (AFRS) tool set.
* Experience using Computer-Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application (CATIA).
* Experience and working knowledge with F-35 sustainment tools; Product Data Manager (PDM), Visualization Aid System (VAS), JSF Data Library (JDL), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Joint Technical Data (JTD) and Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
* Strong F-35 Mission Systems troubleshooting experience.
* Prior military service at multiple levels of maintenance, logistics, and support of fighter aircraft preferred.
