Northrop Grumman is seeking an HR Business Partner 4 (HRBP) to provide consultation, subject matter expertise and partnership to our Missile Defense Solutions business unit. The selected candidate will partner with the business to develop and implement solutions and deliver exceptional HR support in a challenging and dynamic business environment. The HR Business Partner will achieve results and address challenges, take ownership of projects, demonstrate self-directed learning, and provide and accept continuous feedback in a supportive work environment that offers continued opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
bull; Serves as a strategic business partner and consultant to internal customers and stakeholders, including: organizational and talent development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and reward and recognition
bull; Evolve organizational capability in employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, succession planning and pipeline readiness acceleration, change management, and org design
bull; Diagnose organizational needs and develop practical, creative and/or innovative solutions to increase team and organizational performance and advance the business strategy. Ensure solutions are effectively implemented and sustained
bull; Organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and execute concurrent projects and tasks, escalating issues or obtaining additional resources when necessary
bull; Coach management on creating employee talent development plans (IDPs), share development resources available, and partner with leadership to solicit cohort program and Diversity amp; Inclusion (D amp;I) nominations
bull; Analyze and present employee survey data/key themes to Operating Unit (OU) leadership teams. Train managers and consult on performance management to include performance ratings and compensation planning. Prepare for and facilitate performance alignment sessions and ldquo;total rewards rdquo; sessions with OU leadership teams
bull; Consult with management on COVID-19 risk assessment/mitigation, time charging, business resumption, and/or employee temperature checks in accordance with the company rsquo;s COVID-19 containment protocol
bull; Advise management on managing employee and management performance and conduct. Perform investigations and partner with management, ER COE, legal, and EAP. Train management on performance and conduct process, tools, and approaches. Interpret/guide employees and managers on HR policies and procedures
bull; Travel to customer sites at multiple geographical locations to provide onsite support and support multiple sites remotely
bull; Partner with leaders to support D amp;I and social justice and provide guidance and consultation in these areas.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
bull; A bachelor 39;s degree in Business Administration, HR, Psychology, or closely related field with a minimum of 10 or more years of broad HR Business Partner experience; or a master rsquo;s degree in Business Administration (MBA), HR Development, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, or closely related field with a minimum of 8 years of broad HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience
bull; Experience consulting with leaders on: employee relations, managing performance and managing conduct, and culture and change management
bull; Passion to achieve results and uphold commitments, work independently and as part of a team, continuously learn, focus on continuous improvement, and manage multiple and competing priorities
bull; Demonstrated ability to solve business challenges and come up with strategic solutions
bull; Proficient verbal and written communication skills; proven track record of building collaborative partnerships as the basis for being able to influence direction and drive change

bull; Proven ability to lead cross-functional HR projects and understanding and application of project management and change management fundamentals, including organizing, planning, scheduling and following up on project related items; effective presentation skills
bull; Team player with ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and employees
bull; Strong consulting skills; able to analyze data to define the root cause, design practical, creative and/or innovative solutions, and ensure solutions are effectively implemented
bull; Ability to travel to multiple customer sites to develop relationships and provide onsite support, up to 20% of the time
bull; Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
