Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Sr. Principal Software Test Engineer and Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL .
Essential Functions:
* Reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing formal and informal requirements
* Development and integration of a regression and V amp;V testing framework
* Supporting operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis
* Executing test procedures to ensure requirements compliance
* Supporting development, integration, and execution of test pass/fail quantitative metrics
* Performing model updates and troubleshooting as required
* Documenting test results and creating test reports as needed

Qualification
Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Virtual Simulation Tactical Simulation Engineer:
* Bachelor rsquo;s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 9 years of engineering experience OR a STEM master rsquo;s degree and 7 years of engineering experience OR a STEM PhD and 4 years of engineering experience
* Experience scripting using tools such as Python, MatLab, or other scripting or data analysis toolsets
* Experience developing software test systems
* An active, in-scope Top Secret DoD Security Clearance with issue/reissue in the last 5 years
* The ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet program objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience testing with C/C++ software
* Knowledge of Linux systems and basic commands
* Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite with add-ons like Jira and Confluence
* Operations analysis and/or virtual simulation experience
* Understanding of Integrated Air Defense Systems and Capabilities
* Experience with modeling and simulation in a laboratory environment
