About the Role

As a Senior Test Engineer with 6+ years of relevant experience, you will need to be a self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed/excel to serve as a senior member of a team in the development and implementation of test programs/methodology, test execution and debug processes for new products and releases to internal groups or to the market.As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be taking the lead role to drivethe implementation of any needed test methodologies and guidelines, assess products and solutions, and effectively present findings back to the organization for consideration in decision making.

What You Will Do

* Design, develop and execute test cases (via test scripts or manual) for Java multi-OS platforms including embedded Linux platforms.
* Interface with the project management and development teams to gather project information, understand project objectives, schedules, and constraints.
* Develop test schedules and resource requirements, and communicate ongoing progress and risks.
* Analyze system requirements and review technical specifications to assess and evaluate test requirements for the final products/solutions.
* Define new test systems, methodologies, processes, procedures using industry best practices and innovation
* Document test cases, procedures, execute test cases, and report bugs.
* Conduct test plan reviews and bug reviews & prepare and present progress reports, metrics, and test analysis
* Provide training and direction for junior test engineering staff members/contractors.
* Manage assigned tasks and schedules using the Agile development process.

What You Need

* Bachelor's degree/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
* 6+ years of embedded firmware/application software design verification experience
* 6+ years of experience writing/executing test plans and test cases.
* Experience with Java, C++, or other programming languages and Linux system.
* Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, and network communications.

What is Nice to Have

* Knowledge of scripting languages like Groovy and Python.
* Knowledge of Junit Framework.
* Knowledge of Google Test Framework.
* Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket).
* Experience in testing Control system, Set top boxes, Audio, Voice application or HD Video.
