Principal Global Investors is looking for an experienced Data Engineer focused on machine learning operations (MLOps) to work in our Investment Data & Research team! This person will help build out our digital intelligence platform and bring these capabilities to scale to align with enterprise efforts!

Here are some examples of the kinds of things you'll do:

* Work with teammates to build technical solutions that are reusable, scalable, fast, and maintainable for deploying and managing machine learning models.n
* Increase automation and improve the quality of production ML while also focusing on business and regulatory requirements.n
* Expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecturen
* Assist to design, implement and maintain investment product datasets in alignment with data and analytics vision and strategy.n
* Support critical, ongoing operations while also driving new strategic solutions.n
* Development and deployment of robust and scalable data platforms for sophisticated data processing and downstream consumption.nn

Qualificationsn

Weu2019re looking for someone with:

nn
* Bachelor's degree plus 2+years related work experience or a Master's in related fieldn
* Strong Software Engineering fundamentalsn
* Experience deploying machine learning models into production environmentn
* Experience building/operating systems for data extraction, ingestion and processing of large data setsnn

Additional preferred technical experience/skills:

nn
* Strong DevOps, Data Engineering and ML background with Cloud platforms (we use AWS)n
* Experience with machine learning platforms (such as SageMaker, DataBricks)n
* Experience with machine learning frameworks/libraries (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, scikit-learn)n
* Experience in containerization and orchestration (such as Docker, Kubernetes)n
* Experience or familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLFlow and Kubeflown
* Distributed Computing Frameworks (such as Spark)n
* Model performance monitoringn
* Network Securitynn

This role can either site remotely within the US, or at our headquarters in Des Moines, IA.
