GDIT is seeking a Cisco ISE /Network Operations Center (NOC) engineer for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The OCC's Mission is to ensure a safe and sound banking system for all Americans.
Level of Clearance Required :U.S. Citizenship and background investigation is required; you must have a current clean financial background to obtain an agency specific Public Trust.
In this role, a typical day will include:
* Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity.
* Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
* Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
* Coordinates hardware and software acquisition.
* Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.
* Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
* Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
* Serves in the capacity for the Network Operations Center engineer
* Provides workflow, monitoring, and incident response oversight to the team while actively participating in continual service improvement activities
* Develops, implements, and assures compliance with operational protocols and policies
* Ensures 24x7 coverage is in place at high service quality levels
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), and five plus years of experience.
* Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) and the related technologies and protocols, including a working knowledge of PKI, 802.1X, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and VPN.
* Cisco ISE implementation and ongoing operational maintenance experience
* Ability to analyze, test, troubleshoot, and resolve problems as well as identify deficiencies and solutions to improve the network environment.
* Administrator level experience on Windows operating system.
* Familiarity with security standards and best practices such as NIST 800-53, FIPS 140-2.
* Knowledge of NOC policies and procedures
