Position Summary
The Manager – Financial & Performance Management is responsible for supporting the objectives of the Performance Analytics department by leading a team of analysts responsible for consolidation and monitoring of PPL’s investment plan, delivering consistent performance measurement as well as tracking and/or support of potential strategic initiatives.
This includes overseeing the collection of data from PPL's business lines as well as updating / maintaining assumptions and verifying results are consistent with expectations. Success will require an analytic attitude, strong collaboration skills, comprehensive problem solving, independent thinking, and intellectual curiosity.
You will deliver strategic insights and analysis to advise business strategy and decision making; measure and evaluate business performance; supervise progress on key initiatives. The candidate is expected to be knowledgeable of PPL's diverse business lines and will partner with the financial management of all PPL business lines as well as other service groups and subject matter experts to verify assumptions and obtain a detailed understanding of financial performance.
Excellent personnel management, communication and time management skills are essential. Candidates should also have a willingness to continually enhance their understanding of the utility environment and leverage data-driven solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Support overall financial success of PPL through financial planning and analysis, budgeting, revenue modeling and scenario modeling
Lead and deliver strategic insights and analysis to advise business strategy and decision making; measure and evaluate business performance; supervise progress on key initiatives; benchmarking
Supervise monthly and annual management reporting activities by providing actual to budget analyses and timely insights on operational highlights affecting future business decision making issues
Lead the development, tracking and analysis of sensitivities around the 5-year financial forecast.
Support the tracking and communication of strategic investments, their impact on financial performance and execution status.
Provide management of key performance indicator consolidation including company-wide alignment on measurement standards.
Dive into financial data and becoming a subject matter expert on the key drivers, regulatory structures, and business units across the PPL operating companies
Maintaining positive relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
In-person supervision of employees to ensure compliance with FLSA wage and hour issues as well as to monitor compliance with safety rules.
Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics.
7-10 years of experience in various finance and analysis related functions.
Strong knowledge of electric industry.
Strong strategic and analytical skills combined with proven business and financial acumen
Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Budgeting, Revenue Models and Scenario Modeling
Excellent personnel management / communication / time management / computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA / professional certification.
12 years of experience in various finance related functions.
