OVERVIEW

As a Customer Account Specialist (CAS) you will work to drive incremental volume and sustain existing volume by owning relationships with operators. You will be responsible for selling our full portfolio across our K12, Colleges & Universities, Healthcare, Commercial, and other Non-Commercial channels. The Rocky Mountain Region team is looking for a CAS for the Denver market.

You will work closely with your Account Executive (Distributor Manager) and communicate regularly with CAS peers while providing expertise to your customers regarding our products, competitors, and other industry knowledge. You will also leverage sales tools and analyze internal reporting to strategically plan daily activities to identify new business opportunities. You will support critical distributor and industry events (i.e. Food Shows, Distributor Sales Meetings).

Strong candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial and curious mindset to learn their business and drive opportunity in the market. Candidates will need to jump in quickly showcasing a bias for action and have a strong sense of ownership for their territory.

In this role you will get to be both an individual contributor in your territory and be part of a larger Region team. You will develop a foundation for your selling skills as a CAS which will include relationship building, internal and external communication skills, influencing, and more.

This role will be based in Denver, CO, however, operator footprint extends to portions of Nebraska and Wyoming which will include limited travel and overnight stays.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Sustain and drive incremental volume
* Identify and sell our General Mills portfolio to key operators across the territory to grow volume
* Collaborate with your Account Executive to create pull through demand for core product voids and innovation
* Partner with Distributor Sales Reps (DSRs) to educate on our products and empower them to sell on your behalf
* Leverage Analytics and tools (i.e. Salesforce, Firefly) to identify and close on new opportunities
* Develop operator strategy to maximize call coverage while ensuring Salesforce call and confirmed SKU sold goals are met
* Leverage General Mills data sources and best practice promotions to mine for additional opportunities in territory
* Other Accountabilities
* Place & activate new items through strong operator engagement
* Support critical distributor and industry events

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma
* At least 2 years of industry experience
* Strong interpersonal & communication skills
* Win as a team (team player)
* Self-motivated with ability to maintain workload from remote office
