Job Description
The Machine Shop Associate will be responsible for working under direction of foreman or any intermediary the foreman may assign. Operate all machine shop equipment, make tool changes independently to maintain setups. Work to prescribed quality standards; meet production standards, and observe all safety and housekeeping requirements. Report immediately all problems and difficulties. Execute accurately all necessary records including counting and recording time.
Operate any equipment as assigned; assemble, clean, package, sort, inspect, and move product within the machine shop only as needed.
Requirements:
High school Graduate or equivalent
Ability to read a manual micrometer
At least 1 year experience as a CNC Machinist
Ability to stand/walk throughout the day approx. 90% of the time.
Ability to work overtime, up to 10 hours per day is mandatory during the week.
This is a 2nd shift position, core hours are 3:30pm to 11:30pm, when scheduled for 10 hours, hours are 4:30pm -2:30am. Training will be done on 1st shift for up to 6 months.
