Nordstrom is looking for an HR Business Partner to support the Digital Operations and NRHL (Nordstrom Rack/Hautelook) business. This is a unique role that will combine HR Business Partner with designing and implementing large scale programs. This candidate must be able to work across all levels of the organization, serve as a trusted partner to leadership and operate proactively to bring our Corporate priorities to life.
A day in the life
* Partner with HR Director, peer HRBPs and business leaders to identify people priorities for the organization/client group.
* Partner with the HR Director on the design and implementation of initiatives related to the employee experience that support the organizations business strategies. Proactively identify issues and opportunities that contribute to organizational success and provide solutions and recommendations. Implementation and ongoing effectiveness of HR processes and programs.
* Leverage technical knowledge in HR topics such as leadership development, change management, diversity and inclusion, learning and more to provide consultation to the business on a variety of initiatives.
* Demonstrate a high level of comfort and proficiency analyzing data and bringing it forward in a consumable way that drives clear direction and outcomes. Clearly articulate problem sets, conduct root cause analysis and communicate data and insights regarding the problem set and possible paths to resolution.
* Ability to define project vision and strategy in partnership with stakeholders, ensuring goals and success metrics are clearly defined roles and responsibilities across the program team are clear.
* Be a thought partner to business leaders on org design and building organizational capabilities.
* Build strong relationships with both employees and business leaders across the organization
* Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through relationship-building and collaboration.
* Manage and drive multiple HR priorities in a fast paced, complex and matrixed business environment.
You own this if you have
* 7 - 10+ years of directly applicable HR experience partnering with business leaders to drive strategic and effective people outcomes
* A Bachelors degree in related field (Masters or advanced degree preferred)
* Experience working effectively with business teams and leaders
* Strong drive for results and mindset of continuous improvement
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with an ability to apply quantitative analysis to HR outcomes and use data to influence and drive decisions
* Strong business and people acumen - ability to influence at all levels
* Experience leading change management efforts for organizations undergoing large scale transformation
* Experience partnering with business leaders on effective organizational design
* Ability to partner across multiple teams within HR to deliver effective solutions
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
