Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of equipment within their cell and performing all hourly checks in regards to production, safety and quality. Departments: Plating, Heating and Wrenches
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Read blueprints, routers and determine the necessary operations
* Read calipers and micrometers
* Select abrasive belts or wheel according to specified type of finish
* Perform hourly safety and quality checks
* Examine parts for quality
* Cleanup and SFS of area as needed
* Assist in other cells as requested by leadership
REQUIREMENTS
Education Required:
* HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
Work Experience Required:
* Previous work in a manufacturing environment preferred
Skills & Knowledge Required:
* Ability to read, write and comprehend basic work instructions, short correspondence and memos
* Mathematical aptitude and ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
* Capable of using common sense understanding to carry our detailed instructions including written and oral

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
* Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands

* Use of vision including peripheral, color, distance, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
* Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, strong fumes and loud noises
* Occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures
