The Supply Planner will be a key member of the PTG Operations Team providing the highest customer service levels while maintaining appropriate control of inventory and cost. They will be responsible for market planning and coordinating with SBD facilities and/or vendor purchased suppliers across North America, Asia and Europe. The Supply Planner will be a good steward of the Plant assets of tooling, people, and WIP by buffering them from market variation. This is a Global role in an exciting, fast-paced environment working on projects to support $4B+ in top line revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Working Capital Management / Inventory Turns
* Manage inventory for specific plants/suppliers to support working capital turn goals
* Maintain 4% Excess & Obsolete through management of NPD, transitions, and undersells
* Best in Class Service Level
* Maintain service level of items planned in order to support overall goal of 98% service level
* Update weekly service level root cause analysis and drive resolution and corrective action of future occurrences
* Minimize short supply challenges, as well as discover, resolve, and communicate recovery
* New Product Introduction
* Successfully deliver New Product through the stages of Capacity Evaluation, Set Up, Production & Market Delivery
* Coordinate globally with Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams
* Capacity Management
* Conduct monthly review of capacity of components, tooling and manning (RCCP/LTCP)
* Facilitate Global Capacity Planning to deliver aggressive WC Turns, 98% SL, and appropriate utilization and CapEx
* Planning
* Become an expert in the JDA supply planning systems to support source planners and drive planning efficiency
* Regularly review and update system settings for errors to maintain a clean and robust working environment
* Regularly review % to Target, Workbench Capacity, Safety Stock, and plant schedules to achieve WCT turns goals balanced with customer fill rates
* Work collaboratively with all functional areas of the business; Sales, Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, Demand Planning, to solve problems and identify business improvement opportunities
* Serve as link between suppliers/GSMA/manufacturing locations and the market
* Lead or present as the voice of supply chain Ops at S&OP, Capacity Planning, NPD, and Team Meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
* BS Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management or related field
* 3-4 years Supply Chain Experience
* Strong cross-functional supply chain process knowledge
* Effective project management skills and team leadership skills
* Advanced computer proficiency (JDA, SAP, Excel, Business Warehouse)
* Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Strong attention to detail required
* Ability to mitigate short term issues through prioritization and anticipation in a long-term planning environment
* Ability to effectively present and communicate throughout the organization
* Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and have a passion for excellence
* Demonstrated initiative and willingness to overcome challenges
