We have immediate and upcoming opportunities for highly motivated and experienced Radar / Digital Design Engineers to work on Radar Control and Radar Processor electronics product development for defense applications. Location is our NEW Engineering site in Hanover, Maryland.

You will be responsible for the hardware design, development, and architectural planning of digital signal processing, high-speed control, and embedded software applications using FPGAs for Space and Airborne Applications; will work with diverse teams, provide technical oversight, delegate tasks, and work with the Engineering organization to establish technology roadmaps, and contribute to general innovation. In addition, you will work with government personnel and programs, and define and refine requirements to validate hardware compliance. You may also be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, and training to other employees within the candidates areas of expertise. This is a product development team environment with system, mechanical, and software engineers. This position may require occasional business related travel.

Required Skills:

* Minimum 8 years of related hardware engineering experience focused on architecture, design, implementation, and testing digital signal processing subsystems.
* Experience with FPGAs, ASICs, and/or embedded processors.
* Knowledge of FPGA design implementation with VHDL / Verilog / SystemVerilog design language.
* Familiarity with FPGA design simulation, synthesis, implementation, and timing analysis tools, such as (Questa/Modelsim, Synplify, Vivado, Quartus, Libero).
* Experience with High-speed data converter (ADCs & DACs) integration into signal processing applications.
* Knowledge of FPGA signal processing techniques such as Direct-Digital Synthesis, FIR Filter design, Beamforming, and Channel Equalization.
* Experience with standard bus protocols including but not limited to AMBA-AXI, Avalon, Aurora, SRIO, DDR, SPI, I2C, SpaceWire, PCIe, Gb Ethernet, and JESD204B/C.
* Familiarity with Embedded C/C++ design techniques to create applications targeted for System-On-A-Chip FPGA devices.
* Demonstrated experience managing and presenting technical data to stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
* Possess skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment; requires a strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills.
* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Education:

* Bachelors of Science degree in a related STEM discipline; Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred.
