Job Description

The Principal Subcontract Manager/Lead will have the opportunity to perform all related Supply Chain requirements including supplier development, requirement solicitations, PO award, post-award management, and close-out activities. This pivotal role on our dynamic team will also have the opportunity to mentor and provide team cohesion for a group of Subcontract Managers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing several supplier relationships necessary to support various program factories. This position is a remote, work from home, position with opportunities to travel.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
1. Creates, executes and manages various subcontract types (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.), using source selection techniques.
2. Issuance of RFPs/RFQs in support of requirements supporting customer delivery schedules and various statement of work
(SOW) requirements
3. Performs cost and price analysis, develops negotiation strategies, and leads negotiations
4. Executes to customer requirements including government regulations, public law and Missile Systems policies and procedures.
5. Manage supplier relationships and performance
6. Leads the Supplier product team and facilitates relationships between program office/functional organizations and suppliers. Utilizes project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers.
7. Negotiates modifications to standard terms and conditions of sale as required
8. Ability to generate comprehensive and compliant purchase orders with minimal supervision
9. Ensure that hardware deliveries are coordinated, managed and consistent with program schedules
10. Ability to prepare, attend and present status at Customer meetings and reviews on such topics as open requisitions, PO
placement, and delivery updates, etc.
11. Ability to support and properly plan supplier invoice forecasting
12. Occasional travel may be required less than 20%

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field.
6 years related supply chain and/or subcontract experience
Knowledge of application of concepts and principles of Subcontract Management
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Education, Skills & Experience:

Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field
Knowledge of FAR/ DFAR regulations
Active Secret Clearance
Experience leading or participating in
development contracts with suppliers
Previous department of defense (DoD)
acquisition experience
Knowledge with PRISM and APEX (SAP)
Knowledge of MS Office applications
including Excel and Word
