Position Summary

The primary role of the Parking Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients/business by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. Develop a rapport with new clients. Position yourself as the market expert (Trusted Advisor) and use persuasive approaches/ pitches convincing potential clients to do business with ABM Parking. Set targets for sales and provide support to solidify the relationship. Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions (technical & marketing) and services to clients. Parking Business Development Managers will work with mid and senior level operations management, marketing, and technical staff. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description. The business managers responsibility is to develop a pipeline of new business coming in to ABM. A thorough knowledge of the market, parking industry trends, and the solutions/services ABM Parking provides is essential to the position. Essential Duties:
Essential Duties

* New Business Development.
* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
* Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
* Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
* Research and build relationships with new clients.
* Set up meetings with client decision makers
* Plan approaches and pitches.
* Work with team to develop proposals that meet the clients needs, concerns, and objectives.
* Participate in pricing the solution/service.
* Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
* Management and Research
* Participate in local trade organizations
* Submit progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
* Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the companys CRM system.
* Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
* Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor Degree Management or Business preferred
* 3-5 years of experience in Parking Sales or Management is desirable.
* Actively participate in local trade organizations (BOMA, IREM, IFMA, Chamber of Commerce, etc.).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Detailed understanding of Parking Sales/Operations.
* Detailed understanding of the overall Market as well as trends in the marketplace and industry.
