Job Summary:
The Communications and Training Financial Systems Manager (FSM) supports the communication and training processes for the companys financial systems (e.g. SAP, Business Warehouse, BusinessObjects, Cognos, etc.) as well as select front-of-house systems (e.g., Point of Sale, Front Desk, Ticketing). The FSMs key focus will be to collaborate with internal clients to develop and execute high-impact, global, employee communication, training and change management solutions. The FSM heads up a team of Financial Systems professionals responsible for sustainment and user support communications and training for Finance related systems. Candidate should be familiar and comfortable with current best practices and new technological trends, including social media (Slack, Yammer) and website maintenance (WordPress), to enhance the effectiveness of communication and training deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Communication & Training - Process Support and Governance (55%)
* Manage end user support and training. This includes request management (incidents/system enhancements) and training (standard materials, course design and delivery).
* Develop and execute communication plans outlining goals, key audiences/stakeholders, recommended channels, and metrics for success and timelines
* Create instructional material including quick reference guides, instructor-led training, information sheets and web-based training
* Researches and develops new and effective ways to train users and to produce new courseware products
* Ability to periodically provide 24 x 7 on call support for unplanned outage communications
* Keeps abreast of technology and solutions for key finance processes and business analytics
Project Management (25%)
* Manages smaller to mid-scale projects
* Promotes the design, resource management, implementation and support of finance system communication, training and change management solutions
* Coordinates & executes project activities to ensure project progresses on schedule
Leadership (10%)
* Capable of managing a small team of direct-report resources
* Ability to define a clear vision and motivate others to embrace change
* Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
* Manages team resources and ensure they are utilized appropriately
* Supports productivity and morale of the team
* Works with team to resolve day-to-day technical/procedural challenges
Strategy (10%)
* Translates strategy into specific priorities and action plans
* Connects process priorities to the greater organizational goals
* Identifies and researches metrics to obtain trends and patterns to identify process/system opportunities and recommend corrective action
* Recommends and implements process improvement/reengineering initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
* 7 to 10 years of demonstrated high-level professional knowledge and skills in internal communications and/or employee training
* 3 to 5 years of experience managing a team of direct reports
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms as well as HTML and CSS knowledge
* Experience using Microsoft Office 365 applications
* Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle - in order to create and implement engagement and training strategies
* Strong research skills to determine organizational needs, develop strategies to meet those needs, and evaluate their effectiveness
* Excellent active listening skills
* Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
* Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
* Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
* Partner and collaborate with clients in providing communication services and training support ensuring consistency and quality in messaging and execution

* Experience with small to medium projects that encompass front of house and back of house finance/accounting communication and training plans
* Able to use social business tools like Yammer, Slack, and SharePoint
* Able to work with video, including screen captures, and webinars
Preferred Qualifications:
* Work experience in finance or accounting
* Experience working for large company and within a matrix organization
* Experience in using SAP or another ERP
* Experience in using Business Warehouse, BusinessObjects and/or Cognos reporting tools
* Experience implementing financial processes and systems
Required Education
* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience in the field of: Accounting, Finance, Communications, Organizational Development, Public Relations, Marketing, Education, Instructional Design, Business, Information Technology, or other related field
Preferred Education
* PMP or other professional project management certification
* Change Management certification
