ROLE SUMMARY
The Global BU Biopharma Operations Partner (BOP) will serve as the lead Global operations interface for multiple business units (BUs), offering strategic partnership and Ops accountability for clients. This role will lead the way in supporting the new BOPs team to be a competitive advantage for Biopharma and BUs to deliver quality at scale. The Global BU BOP will strategically partner with senior business leaders and clients, and in collaboration with other BOPs, will ensure future-oriented solutions are provided in a proactive manner to better serve commercial work. A deep understanding of the business will be essential to advise on and broker Biopharma Ops services and draw on Global solutions across multiple BUs to help anticipate and solve Global business challenges. The Global BU BOP will have a strong grasp of commercial strategy to orchestrate current services but also to anticipate future needs of the business and help define future BOPs services.
Key Attributes:
* Responsible for managing key business/client accounts related to the multiple Global business units, and coordinating activities with other Global BOPs
* Orchestrates operations activities across multiple business units to meet business needs of the Pfizer customers globally
* Acts as a channel for client feedback for delivery teams and as a key influencer of development of future Biopharma Ops BOPs solutions
* Partners with senior business leaders and clients to ensure future-oriented solutions are provided in a proactive manner to better serve the business
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Partners with business/clients at the Global level across multiple business units and helps ensure future-oriented solutions are provided:
* Acts as the single Global point of accountability towards clients and is accountable for those client relationships
* Leverages and influences a broad and diversified stakeholder network at senior levels internally and externally to drive key decisions across multiple stakeholder groups and get things done
* Educates commercial stakeholders on the value BOPs are delivering to the business/clients
* Anticipates future needs of the business based on strategic objectives to inform opportunities for the team to execute value-adding changes to the Biopharma Ops Remit to provide future-oriented solutions for the client
* Understands the full Biopharma Ops Remit and addresses client needs as well as helps shape the clients thinking to ensure Biopharma Ops services are creating optimal business impact
* Highlights areas of potential opportunity for new Biopharma Ops services that will support commercials evolving business needs
* Supports the development and execution of the business and operational plan for BOPs
* Provides business and BOPs knowledge:
* Has a deep understanding of the Global business, multiple business unit strategies, and key priorities related to those businesses
* Understands Pfizer commercial business strategies, related goals, commercial support needs and objectives, and how they fit into the One Pfizer model
* Is the Global orchestrator of service delivery to meet business needs and demands
* Understands the Global business strategy and context of the multiple BUs and is accountable to lead, own, develop and maintain Global processes to enhance value to clients while maintaining or reducing overall costs
* Has a broad and deep knowledge of the Biopharma Ops service portfolio
* Ensures smooth operations across multiple Global business units:
* Manages and reports Global performance by utilizing dashboard/metrics ensuring that both Biopharma Ops and BOPs have visibility of requirements and performance
* Identifies opportunities to improve service delivery processes and the Biopharma Ops services
* Orchestrates Global budget/financial management and operations planning to ensure financial expectations are met
* Manages and escalates risks where appropriate to deliver the set objectives/goals
* Drives change initiatives/projects and culture change across Biopharma Ops to make it stick
* Ensures Global business demand is managed and fulfilled with excellence:
* Identifies common service needs within the Global business to assist with developing cross-BU solutions
* Orchestrates service delivery with clients, Biopharma Ops internal stakeholders, and/or suppliers/vendors to meet business needs and demands
* Understands and anticipates business needs and demand for Biopharma Ops services within assigned BUs to satisfy client needs
* Monitors client satisfaction and devises measures to increase client satisfaction from gained insights
* Identifies how Biopharma Ops can continuously evolves its service delivery model consistent against the business demands
* As is needed, serves to influence business development agreements or service-level agreements to ensure excellence in Global BU BOPs
QUALIFICATIONS
* BA Required; MBA or equivalent Masters-level education preferred
* 10+ years in the commercial pharmaceutical business in the US
* People management and leadership experience including collaboration with senior level management
* Extensive experience leading through matrix teams
* Cross-BU and/or diversity of job experiences
* Global experience in working with different markets that span various cultures, languages, and time zones
* Proven track record of delivering business performance
* Drive for optimization/excellence
* Delivery of exceptional customer services and experiences
* Track record for building strong cultures
* Strong ability to drive collaboration and foster highly productive, functional relationships
* Demonstrated agility and ability to drive program completion in expedited timelines
