You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Coordinator of Clinical Applications like you to be a part of our team.
The Coordinator of Clinical Informatics is responsible for ensuring ongoing training, support and refinement of Clinical Informatics and Meaningful Use initiative as well as additional support for clinical applications throughout the facility. This individual participates in the company-wide community changes for CPOE & EBCD (Evidenced Based Clinical Documentation for Clinicians) and works with their facility peers to ensure clinical informatics are well supported throughout the facility.
* You will work toward Implementation and support of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE and other clinical applications and tools.
* You will development, execution, and support of education plan, tools and resources focused on the CPOE clinical initiative, Meaningful Use and additional clinical applications as developed and implemented.
* You will use Facilitation and project leadership of the CPOE and advanced clinical system functions implementation.
* You will work towards resolution of complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or facility service resources.
* You will use evidence Based Order set review, approval, and build within the facility.
* You will have Ongoing monitoring of various advanced clinicals usage trend reports. Identify gaps/areas of opportunity and develop action plan to address areas of concern.
* You will support resolution to unsigned telephone and verbal orders that have aged and orders that have been rejected.
* You will ensure that physician documents are signed and in the appropriate status to become a part of the legal medical record.
St. David's Surgical Hospital, a campus of St. Davids North Austin Medical Center, is a destination surgical hospital specializing in orthopedic, gynecological, urological and reconstructive surgery, among others. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree preferred, or in progress
Experience:
Three to five years of experience in clinical applications support or equivalent, super user and application implementation experience considered.
Preferred:
Registered Nurse
Proficiency in Meditech
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Customer service orientation and/or training
License:
Required for RN: Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN license from a NCLA Compact State. New hires have 90 days from start date to obtain Texas RN License; BCLS certification as per SDH policy
