Job Description

Are you looking for a new Product Manager opportunity? We are looking for an energetic and driven leader and champion for one of our key capillary electrophoresis product lines. The Sr. Product Manager will provide leadership and execution for multiple capillary electrophoresis products. They will be responsible for developing product strategy, defining product positioning, and managing product lifecycle from ideation to end of life. This role will require close interaction with R&D, Quality, Planning and Manufacturing. A strong understanding of product management and market research best practices is required. Knowledge of capillary electrophoresis in the life science and diagnostic industries as well as an understanding of mass spectrometry is preferred.

Responsibilities:

* Own and drive decisions for one of our premier capillary electrophoresis product lines
* Interact with key internal and external customers globally to understand problems, obtain feedback on new and existing products, and identify solutions for new applications and new products.
* Work collaboratively with global sales and marketing teams to drive product growth
* Work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Sustaining Engineering and Manufacturing to support the execution of product improvements and new product development
* Develop product positioning and strategy
* Analyze market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for current and future products.
* Communicate value propositions to global marketing for generation of customer facing literature, website content, and sales training
* Own pricing and discounting structure

Education and Work Experience:

* Minimum of Bachelors Degree in a Science, Marketing, Business Administration or related field; Masters degree is considered a strong plus
* At least 5 years of Product Management experience is preferred.
* Knowledge of analytical products in the life sciences and biopharma/pharma is required and knowledge of analytical products in gene therapy and cell therapy is a strong plus.
* Experience with capillary electrophoresis and mass spectrometry is a plus.
* Ability to perform exceptionally in fast paced, performance oriented environment
* Experience working in a global environment
* Strong communicator with ability to influence people directly and remotely.

Travel:

This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites globally, with additional travel to trade shows and SCIEX sites (minimum 25%).
