About the Role

Insticator is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to join our growing team of talented developers. We want someone who’s passionate about creating engaging web experiences that users love interacting with and engineers love maintaining. This position is remote but should be able to work from a North American time zone. 

You should have a keen eye for clean intuitive interfaces and be excited by reusable, modular, efficient code.

Responsibilities and Duties

Effectively contribute to architecting and building major feature initiatives

Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to brainstorm and resolve complex problems
Ensure the quality of code is up to the highest standard of readability, conciseness, efficiency, modularity, and extensibility
Participate in peer reviews to help police our code and ensure we’re helping other members of the team improve
Actively increase the performance of our application via weight savings measures, compression techniques, minimizing requests, etc
Advance the teams skill by implementing the latest techniques and developments in the industry while being mindful of how they fit in our tech stack and product suite

Qualifications

Professional competencies

5+ years of experience working on JavaScript, production-ready, scaled out, single-page applications (preferably in React/Redux)

Strong experience with a responsive, single page, event-driven web applications 
Strong experience with asynchronous data-driven actions
Ability to replicate designs to a pixel and handwrite stylesheets in a maintainable fashion 
Ability to intuitively animate UI elements via custom CSS animation
Understanding of modular design patterns.
Knowledgeable in performance optimization techniques.
Self-driven and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure and ambiguity.
Keen eye for usability, creating intuitive visually appealing experiences.
Strong grasp of DOM structure and layout techniques.
Familiar with NPM dependency package management.
Proficient with GIT source control.
Comfortable with agile/scrum development methodology.
A sense of pride in building clean UIs a beautiful written code.
C1 or better level of English (or international equivalent)
