JOB DUTIES
– Observation of cardiac monitors, runs record of each patient’s cardiac rhythm, answers telephone and patient call system, relays messages, and assists HUC. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Practice is based on the theoretical framework of nursing at Baptist Health Paducah including the principles of Relationship-Based Care.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY
–Completion of high school or GED exam is required. Supervised by Department Director and Charge Nurse of shift worked. Must complete the Dysrhythmia test. The Director conducts performance evaluations at the end of the three-month probationary period with input from the charge nurse. Evaluations, thereafter, are on a yearly basis.
