Business Summary:

VMware is seeking a Sr. Analyst on the Deal Management Team (DMT) to support all elements of VMws go to market cloud efforts, including deal support, process design & implementation, optimization of policies and procedures, and enablement of other DMT team members. The DMT is a group of dynamic individuals established to support standard as well as highly negotiated, unique or strategic software contracts (Enterprise License Agreements) from inception of a sales opportunity to booking. The team is skilled and knowledgeable in a variety of areas including deal modelling, revenue recognition and commercial contract structure. The successful candidate will engage with Management to build and promote the DMT cloud model and partner with Sales, Legal and Commercial Solutions to establish best practice aligned with our Corporate DMT initiatives.

Job Role and Responsibility:

* Partner closely with DMT Cloud Global Process Owner (GPO) team on implementing and optimizing new scalable business models.
* Train team on VMWs cloud strategy and up-level knowledge of global DMT when performing holistic commercial deal reviews to include hybrid and cloud knowledge.
* Collaborate with all levels of stakeholder organizations. Demonstrate a customer-focused approach to deal management and deliver results.
* Identify areas of potential impact and propose solutions that are good solutions across multiple teams and business partners.
* Work to improve the quality of the commercial terms to maximize the deal value to the company for cloud and hybrid deals.
* Understand stakeholder requirements and propose appropriate solutions to solve for our customer needs.
* Collaborate across DMT on new business models or products to ensure that new proposals are aligned with VMWs cloud standards and strategies.
* Quickly develop a strong understanding of VMws cloud products/services and their associated Go to market strategy.

Required Skills:

* Experience in working in a diverse, Multicultural Organization
* Experience in working with or in IT Multinational organizations, Telecoms or Sourcing/Procurement
* Leadership skills with business acumen
* Excellent negotiator with strong influencing and problem-solving skills
* Proven ability to exercise good judgement whilst juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

* Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law or related discipline.

*** This role is flexible and can be done from home, in an office, or a combination of the two anywhere in Costa Rica.

Eventually, post-pandemic they will be expected to work onsite 1-2 days per week***
