Job Role and Responsibilities
The Tanzu & Dell Tech Synergy team needs a Strategic Execution Lead to drive execution of key sales initiatives for our joint modern application solutions with Dell Technologies. This role will report into and support the Director of Tanzu & Dell Tech Partnership to analyze, organize, execute and track effective execution of GTM sales initiatives that help meet and/or exceed the VMware Tanzu fiscal sales plan. This role will navigate across a matrix organization, reinforcing and advocating first and best principles, collaborating with BU, GTM, Operations and Sales constituents at VMware and Dell Technologies.
He or she should be highly motivated, organized, analytical and foster close working relationships with external (Dell Technologies Services, Tanzu Specialists and sales teams) and internal VMware MAPBU, Tanzu Sales (Tanzu Build/Run/Manage, Tanzu Data, Tanzu Observability) and Geo/Theater leadership teams. The successful candidate will have an aptitude for strategic thinking, a financial background and programmatic execution.
Responsibilities:
* Align with the core plan of the Tanzu & Dell Synergy lead, accountable for all analysis and planning activities associated with the annual sales initiatives
* Drive collaboration across BU, Specialist and Customer Business Operations teams to develop target account lists, segmentation, conduct propensity analysis, track pipeline and sales efficiency/participation
* Take accountability to orchestrate sales workshops; develop, manage and track to a GTM Readiness plan/s for the priority initiatives; synthesize content to communicate and track follow-up actions, progress
* Develop inputs/outputs (in conjunction with the Tanzy & Dell Synergy Lead) for executive reporting cadence/s as needed:
* Primary contributor to P&J; dashboard (with review from DSAT Leaders, Solution Leader and DTS BDM, etc.)
* Consolidate and report out updates to P&J; monthly meetings with review from DSAT Leaders, Solution Leader and DTS BDM, etc.)
* Ensure all dashboards reflect current state updates
* Ensure all KPIs from GTM Sales Plays and Initiatives are tracked, measured, and reported on
* Integrate into VMware and Dell Normal operating practices representing VMware as program lead for the Solution related OLP, NPI and SLF meetings collaborate closely with the DT Solutions (DTS) Program Manager
* Brief Solution Leader on any issues/delays that arise upstream or downstream related to the meeting milestone targets for GTM readiness
Requirements:
* 10+ years experience in GTM strategy & execution of key sales initiatives with a working knowledge of launching/incubating new products, sales challenges, goals
* Strong strategic, analytical skills and understanding of agile / scrum methodologies
* Knowledge, understanding, and past experience with Dell, Dell Technologies and/or VMware Tanzu strongly preferred
* Experience working with and reporting to Executive and C-level leaders as part of a complex, multifaceted, multinational and distributed organization
* Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships resulting in the expansion of new and existing Services business
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
* Demonstrated track record of success in organizational leadership and Services strategy
