Roles & Responsibilities

VMware has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join its GTM Sales Finance Team in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The right individual for this role is a proven strategic financial professional with a passion towards excellence and a track-record of influence business decision through analytical data. This position provides an opportunity for an established, broad-based finance manager to join a team that is reshaping how finance can support a rapidly evolving and growing business. As a finance manager leading these efforts, you will have an overarching view of the Companys solutions portfolio as well as the journey toward SaaS/Subscription business for Partner organization. This role will partner across multiple functions including Finance, Operations, Customer Success, Partner Strategy and Channel leadership. This role will report to Finance Senior Director based in Palo Alto, CA. Key responsibilities include:

* Serve as finance lead on SaaS transformation in partner ecosystem and the controller to Solution Platforms, Lifecycle Services and Ecosystem organizations.
* Provide value add analysis and financial guidance to the business; leading cross functionally to better connect partner services transformation across Geos and technology areas.
* Responsible for bi-annual quota setting and the communication of compensation plan for the Solution Platform team.
* Define and standardize the partner financial reports and KPIs for Solution Platforms.
* Develop and own the evolution of partner SaaS/Subscription metrics; i.e. ARR modeling by Route-to-Market, Net Retention Rate tracking and Consumption reports by partners.
* Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.

Preferred Skills

Successful candidate should have the ability in building relationships with key stakeholders across business and finance members, strong planning and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

* 5+ years experience in an FP&A; role with sound career progression in technology, enterprise software, services or SaaS businesses.
* Strong FP&A; background and modeling experience
* Passionate, high-energy, impactful team-player
* Known for being intellectually curious and mentally agile
* Demonstrated the ability to manage/execute the details and also see the big picture
* Hands-on ability with analytical tools & systems
* B.A. or B.S. in Finance. MBA is preferred
