The Role:
As the Consumer Insights Manager, Emerging Trends, you will bring new thinking to improve Demand Science practices, process and tools that identify emerging trends, attributes, and growth pockets that guide enterprise-wide strategies including food design, packaging and communication and activation across the Conagra organization. You have a natural curiosity, always asking what's next? both within and beyond the CPG industry. Reporting to the Director, you search for new ways to bring trends and opportunities to partners across Brand, Precision Marketing and R&D, in addition to the Demand Sciences team. In the perpetual quest for the next trend, you identify the right tools and partnerships, always re-evaluating the best partners for the job. You maintain a broad, external, industry-agnostic focus and have a constant ear to the ground in the consumer world to provide innovative, impactful trends to the broad organization and drive application.
What You'll Do:
* Embrace an expansive mindset, applying strategic, critical and creative thinking in project work. Demonstrate ability to apply both macro and micro focus and challenge the status quo to provide new perspective and ways of thinking.
* Data proficiency including data gathering, mining and analysis, interpretation and synthesis, and visualization.
* Concisely translate data into stories, including specific outcomes, opportunities and recommendations. Translate data and insights into simple frameworks and tailor output to specific audiences so they can easily and quickly make sense of the work and recommendations.
* Provide ongoing macro consumer trend perspectives both in formal presentations and as a constant internal consultant and determine application to our portfolio (e.g., product, package, communication).
* Identify areas for white space innovation; explore demand opportunities, agnostic of brand, category or temperature state.
* Develop new analysis designs and create repeatable, scalable processes to improve decision-making throughout the organization. Provide regular updates on important areas of demand throughout the consumer experience, adding structure and perspective to ambiguous data.
* Play the role of strategic partner and find ways to engage and define business opportunities for growth that are linked to specific needs and outline the actions that need to be taken to promote application.
* Help progress partnerships with data suppliers, finding new ways to use existing data or enhance current data set
* Maximize use of vendor partners by using tools to develop usage case studies and highlight when to use, how to use.
What You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience producing high-quality, consumer insights and analytics work
* Experience building repeatable processes for new areas of data analysis.
* Experience delivering relevant recommendations and affecting results within various teams.
* Ensure Demand Science resources are used and applied to the most important business issues and opportunities.
* Knowledge of multiple consumer data and learning tools, processes and analytical techniques.
* Experience working with multiple third-party suppliers ensuring they are aligned to deliverables and they are driving impactful outcomes.
* Presentation development and storytelling capabilities, especially to distill large amounts of data down into clear ideas and recommendations.
* Experience turning insights into actions with our brands, retailers, marketing and R&D.
