Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company is looking for a Senior General Accountant for our Division Office located in Denton, Texas.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

* Coordinate monthly close of general ledger.
* Prepare monthly journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
* Manage intercompany transaction process with other PACCAR divisions.
* Maintain subledger for Division fixed asset and tooling assets, including additions, disposals and transfers.
* Perform a quarterly Tooling Factor analysis.
* Validate monthly financial statement balances submitted to Corporate consolidations.
* Assist with preparation of quarterly and year-end external reporting requirements.
* Perform internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley reviews as assigned.
* Assist with Physical Inventory and Build Station audits.
* Complete special projects as required, such as ad-hoc reports for senior management and general accounting support.

Skills / Competencies

* 2 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Experience with SAP preferred.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Must be comfortable making oral presentations to peers and management.
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.
* Strong organizational skills required to manage various projects.
* Deadline-driven and self-motivated.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.

CPA/CMA and Master's Degree preferred.
