Job Summary:

SUMMARY

Hulus Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) team is seeking a Consumer Insights Research Intern who will be an outstanding addition to our CMI team. As a research intern at Hulu, you will be working with the team that is redefining TV through our best-in-class video streaming experience, which millions of customers use to access world-class premium video content. You will support the primary, secondary and social research initiatives of the Consumer Insights team and work closely with the Insights Managers in a wide range of responsibilities during the research process. You will use various research methodologies, learn to integrate different types of data, and craft story-driven insights to advise business decisions throughout Hulu. The right person for this internship is not only someone with a strong interest in consumer research and a highly collaborative personality, but also someone who takes initiative and is passionate about the intersection of technology and television.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Brainstorm with Insights managers on various research projects to develop insights and advise stakeholder decisions about the brand, advertising, user engagement, and content
* Work on projects to understand different target audiences (profile key consumer groups and recommend marketing tactics)
* Provide a Gen Z perspective to analyses
* Support in monitoring Hulus competitors and provide recommendations
* Act as the point person between the Consumer Insights team and other Hulu Summer Interns

WHAT TO BRING

* Student currently pursuing an undergrad in Marketing or Analytics
* Team player, collaborative and inclusive
* Understanding of a variety of market research methodologies and their applications
* Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative datasets
* Passionate about research, data, television, marketing, emerging media, and technology
* Strong PowerPoint/Excel and Google Slides/Sheets skills
* Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure
* Ability to multi-task and pivot on various projects at once

NICE-TO-HAVES

* Experience with survey tools such as Qualtrics or Survey Gizmo
* Understanding of Statistics (probability, significance testing, correlations)
* Familiarity with data analysis tools: SPSS, R, Python, SAS
