Job responsibilities
The Alexa Everywhere Consumer Marketing team is looking for an experienced product marketer to establish and grow product segment marketing. In this role, you will set clear and aggressive segment specific marketing goals, build product segment marketing strategies that include product launches, customer segments / sub-segments, vertical specific marketing investments, and cross channel-marketing initiatives. This role will be involved in early stages of business negotiations to drive the marketing requirements and related financial forecasts for contractual agreements. You will set the vision for product marketing and will influence the business strategy through data driven contributions, proactively mitigate risks, and oversee the development of go-to-market plans. Given this is a highly cross-functional role you will need to effectively influence others and strike a balance between having strong backbone and earning trust.

Your responsibilities will include representing segment marketing in key operating cycles (i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business planning), data driven prioritization of investments and resources across emerging and mature product segments, creating comprehensive, innovative and measurable segment plans. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to develop and implement big ideas, have excellent written, verbal communication and negotiation skills, the ability to influence leaders across all levels and a passion for building and evolving marketing strategies in a technical space. You will have both a builder and operator mindset, enjoy addressing challenging business problems, and possess the ability to think big while staying focused on the metrics that matter most to the business, the capacity to move quickly and a strong desire to learn.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 6 years combined experience in marketing or product management preferably supporting consumer electronics or voice technology categories.

Experience setting strategic plans and using data and metrics to determine improvements
High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
Strong quantitative skills and experience with Excel
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or Masters Degree
Strengths in problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss strategic business concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate new opportunities
