Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Manager of Food Technology to join our Global Menu Strategy team. The purpose of this position is to provide technical & culinary support that enables system development and scaling of new products, platforms, and finds opportunities for improvements to core menu enhancement. This role is responsible for providing support on reformulation and specification work touching both Global Core and additional local/regional items identified by this team. . This role will also support long-term innovation development as well as consumer and sensory testing.
In this role you will:
* Develop and support project plans and working closely with partners in the Global/Market Supply Chain, Quality Systems and Global Suppliers.
* Provide culinary and technical expertise on projects, establishing clear objectives and timelines for product development and commercialization
* Design laboratory and confirmation (scale-up) experiments that examine the operational and formulation variables that impact key product attributes and ensure all technical (yield studies, regulatory, nutritional, recipe, food safety) documentation is completed and recorded
* Identify and innovate by discovering food/beverage ingredients and to expand knowledge of flavor awareness and provide food manufacturing expertise
* Provide functional leadership that innovates, develops and tests product improvements to formulations, nutritional optimization, operating platforms, and equipment
* Communicate development progress/status to cross-functional partners, cross functional team members and Leadership through project team meetings and product reviews
Qualifications
* Degree in Food Science or related field, Culinary Arts degree
* Experience working within a CPG, manufacturing, OSR , Consulting or food related company
* Expertise in building and leading strong cross-functional teams
* Strong Communication and Organization skills
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage sophisticated initiatives
