The Digital Marketing Analytics Department has an opening for a Manager, Marketing Analytics and Effectiveness. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.

Position Purpose

The Marketing Analytics team drives strategy by synthesizing performance metrics into actionable insights across multiple marketing channels including: Email, Paid Search, Organic Search, Display, Affiliates, Social, Mobile, Video and any other emerging marketing channels. The Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics and Optimization will provide day-to-day insights to drive Albertson's marketing strategy, working closely with the Director of Marketing Technology and Operations to optimize performance in each channel. This role is highly visible across internal and external partners, charged with identifying areas of opportunity to drive revenue by instilling data-driven best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Budget Allocation and Optimization: Own the ongoing recommendations for investment allocation of marketing budget across audiences, channels, tactics, and strategies.
* Campaign Lift Measurement: Defining test vs. control methodology to understand campaign lift including but not limited to sales, category share, units, cross-sell. Deliver measurement roadmap focused on continuous improvement & testing roadmap.
* Omni-channel measurement: Lead and own measurement of strategic marketing investments, including marketing impact to retail & online sales, as well as Omni-channel marketing impact to our brands.
* Stakeholder management: Strong communication aptitude with both business partners owning media planning, Product Management, IT, Media agencies, and MarTech / AdTech vendor partners
* Audience Insights and Development: Develop audience insights for marketing and audience requirements for targeting.

Qualifications:

* 8+ years relevant experience with 4+ years in retail with analytics in multi-channel marketing
* BA/BS required, MBA is preferred
* Working knowledge of Display, Paid Social, and / or Search marketing channels as well as full funnel KPIs
* Proficient programming skills, including SAS, SQL, Python, R, etc.
* 3+ years experience using an enterprise-level digital analytics platform (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, DSPs, LiveRamp, etc.)
* Reporting and Analysis; understanding of SQL
* Working knowledge of rules-based last click attribution, test vs. control, and algorithmic multi-touch attribution
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to present and translate complex information to both executive and technical partners while staying focused on our business goals
* Excellent track record at building relationships and partnering with internal clients on complex business problems to develop actionable recommendations.
* Preference will be given to candidates that also understand Big Data technology and how to leverage the platform to blend data from multiple data sources to help answer key business questions.

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho.
