Global Sourcing Supplier Engineer Supervisor
About the Role:
Provide leadership of the supplier engineering staff in the design and development of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet manufacturing delivery goals while reducing cost and ensuring product quality. This position is part of the Sourced Finished Medical Device team and entails driving improvements at BSC Suppliers.

Your Responsibilities Include:
* Managing projects which include new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions while supporting day to day operations success of assigned key SFMD suppliers.
* Recruits, coaches, and develops organizational talent.
* Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
* Provides direction and guidance to exempt employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
* Demonstrates effective change leadership.
* Builds strategic partnerships with Suppliers and other BSC Functions to further departmental and organizational objectives.
* Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules to achieve department objectives.
* Develops, monitors. and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for the department.

Qualifications Required:
* Bachelors degree in Engineering from ABET accredited institution
* 5 - 7 years of related work experience Proven organization and execution skills
* Proven ability to solve technical problems and implement solutions
* Proven leader and team player with the ability to drive tasks / projects to completion
* Willing and able to work with engineers and technical staff from a SFMD Supplier at a different site.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to travel 25% of the time. Travel typically does not occur over weekends.
* People Leadership experience preferred

Additional Requirements and Responsibilities Unique to this Position:
* Responsible for leading a team of 2-5 Supplier Engineers for Sourced Finished Medical Devices.
* Works with SQE, R&D, DA, Marketing and Regulatory across all divisions to Onboard, Sustain, and Improve SFMD SUD Products.
* Works with SFMD SUD Suppliers to drive strategies around product capability and manufacturing capacity to meet demand.
* Drive cost reduction strategies with SFMD SUD Suppliers
* This organization works as an integral part of commodity teams to determine sourcing strategy, ensure supply continuity and drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
