Responsibilities

Our Enterprise Technology (ET) Department is seeking a Infrastructure Analyst in the Managed File Transfer team, inside Automation and Tooling (A&T). A&T provides enterprise wide solutions and tools to enable our associates & customers. As a member of the Managed File Transfer team you will assist with the creation and automation of infrastructure and processes to securely send data and files to other businesses and external entities. As a team member, you will get the opportunity to work with an amazing team that embodies the customer 3 driven spirit. You will assist the team in the development of work through use of design thinking and team collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensures that the technical infrastructure is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient to deliver the integrated services underlying the physical environment that supports the processes, resources, and operators required for developing, integrating, sustaining enterprise applications and support services
* Addresses the day-to-day management and maintenance of infrastructure services, systems, and applications
* Applies enterprise software development standards to gain efficiencies through the automation of infrastructure related activities (e.g. manage configuration, provisioning, performance monitoring)
* Develops infrastructure strategy and operational policies, standards, and processes tailored to Enterprise Goals
* Develops asset management processes that support the provisioning, reporting, ownership, risk, controls, and financial status of assets
* Provides key information and partnership to Operations in order to ensure successful knowledge support
* Ensures service level management through the development of processes, people, technology, and service level and operating level agreements
* Ensures infrastructure and operations security, such as network and application firewalls, authentication, identity management, and intrusion detection and prevention
* Demonstrates an understanding of agile framework and methodology
* Based on assignment, requires competencies in data center operations, infrastructure platforms, and service deliver

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following desired skills:

* Experience designing, building and deploying infrastructure solutions
* Have proven learning agility, and a desire to learn Ability to navigate the organization and collaborate across locations
* Experience with Windows and Linux servers
* Resolve challenging technical problems and research industry best practices.
* Ability to communicate complex topics to all levels of the organization
* Ability to think iteratively and promote small impactful infrastructure changes
* A passion for teaching and partnering with others
* Experience using scripting to automate manual processes
* AWS experience a plus

This position will have an 18-month incumbency period, beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the employee can post for any other lateral State Farm position. Employees may be considered for leadership or Technology Engineer openings at any time, and a promotional position within the same job structure (i.e. Professional/Technical or Para-professional/Support) after 6 months from the effective date of the position. In these cases, the remaining incumbency would be waived. The incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.
