LKQ Corporation is the leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles. At LKQ Bellingham we specialize in the remanufacturing of automotive engines. This position provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs for engine remanufacturing equipment including wash tanks, blasting cabinets, mills, boring bars, hones, material handling devices, and fork lift trucks. This position performs general building maintenance including interior, exterior, and property maintenance. This position assists with design and fabrication in metal and plastic for special projects. All specific training is provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Follow our preventative maintenance guidelines to ensure properly functioning equipment
* Use hand and power tools to repair equipment
* Use equipment manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment
* Mechanical troubleshooting
* Electrical system troubleshooting
* Maintain building infrastructure maintenance

* Able to work weekdays 6:00am-2:30pm with weekends/overtime as required
Education and Experience
* Two years of industrial maintenance experience
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Mechanical mindset and basic automotive knowledge preferred
Physical Requirements
* Move up to 50lbs
* Repeatedly stand, squat, bend, and lift
* Able to work on elevated work platforms as well as in confined spaces

LKQ was initially formed in 1998 through the combination of a number of wholesale recycled products businesses located in Florida, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. • 2011 acquisition of Euro Car Parts Holdings Limited ("ECP"), a vehicle mechanical aftermarket parts distribution company operating in the United Kingdom. This acquisition allowed us to expand our operations into the European automotive aftermarket business.
• 2013 acquisition of Sator Beheer B.V. ("Sator"), a vehicle mechanical aftermarket parts distribution company based in the Netherlands, with operations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Northern France. This acquisition allowed us to further expand our geographic presence into continental Europe.
• 2014 acquisition of Keystone Specialty, which expanded our product offering and increased our addressable market to include specialty vehicle aftermarket equipment and accessories.
• On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
• S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
