Senior Portfolio Manager

About the role:

The Portfolio Manager is a pivotal member of the IC Project Management Organization responsible for ensuring the overall portfolio and each individual project is clearly aligned with the business objectives. The portfolio manager develops and consistently applies repeatable processes for identifying, prioritizing, and tracking projects with the portfolio. Your responsibilities include:

* Accountable for crisp definition of the product portfolio through driving a structured, cross functional process
* Drives the necessary analytics and discussions to gain alignment on the product portfolio through the FLT and senior leadership
* Facilitates team efforts to quantify business opportunities and develop investment proposals consistently
* Develops and defines tools and processes to roll up portfolio (projected value, risk and return) and for tracking performance of existing investments against plan
* Works with project teams to translate strategic needs into project requirements
* Incorporates project lessons learned into portfolio and project plans
* Facilitates project team kickoffs
* Partners closely with Finance on portfolio processes Strat, AOP, forecasting
* Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
* Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).

Quality System Requirements

* In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
* Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
* Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree preferably in Finance/Business or Marketing
* 5+ years medical device experience or other portfolio management focused environment
* Highly valued experiences include:
* Portfolio management
* Project management
* R&D Finance
* Commercial experience in IC
* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business processes
* Strong business acumen, fact-based decision making, and ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies and investment opportunities
* Ability to develop constructive and collaborative working relationship with key portfolio stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, R&D, Project Management)
* Ability and desire to develop best practices for portfolio management with minimal oversight
* Possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement and drive to exceed expectations
