Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Physical Security Systems Engineering Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
The candidate for this management position will be expected to lead the GBSD Physical Security element systems engineering team, as well as coordinating efforts for subsystem integration across the element and within the larger weapon system.
This position includes CAM responsibilities for the SE function within the element, and is responsible for coordinating schedules and cost visibility to the Program Office and maintaining quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
This position will require previous experience in leading projects and understanding of scheduling in an engineering development life cycle environment. The content and suitability of the Physical Security design requirements for product and software specification development, for proper allocation and use of appropriate verification methods are included in the RAA for this position. The successful candidate must have the ability to lead teams in a fluid environment that requires teamwork with other Command and Launch elements and our Customer. A high degree of skill in critical decision making is imperative to perform in this environment. A working knowledge of physical security sensor and software sub-systems and system level capabilities is desirable. A managerial level of knowledge in design requirements and use of MBSE methods is required.

Youll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of Systems Engineering experience
Background in software and agile development
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and the ability to be SAP cleared (background investigation completed within 5 years)
5 years experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
Experience in all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle and managing requirements on a schedule
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with Physical Security systems biometric and intrusion detection sensors, video systems, etc.
Effective communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of the Rational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
Familiarity with Agile Systems Engineering processes
Agile EVMS experience
