Job Description

Raytheon is seeking a cleared Software Engineer to support the customer on a prime program in Chantilly, VA

Responsibilities:

Handling customer technical support cases through internal ticketing system, instant messaging, phone, and email submissions
Escalating tickets to software and systems engineers as needed
Creating bug tickets and new feature requests on behalf of users
Updating the organization support website with knowledgebase articles and frequently asked questions.
Providing application functional training to customers
Providing web design assistance to customers
Designing and developing in application specific programming languages (JavaScript and PHP) to facilitate customer design requests
Assisting software and system engineers by testing application changes
Providing graphic design support to the Program Manager on briefings, internal communications, and marketing materials

Qualifications and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field to include a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript
Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools
Understanding of UX/UI (user experience/user interface) design
Experience working with any of the following web applications: WordPress, MediaWiki, PHPBB
Experience in collecting user requirements and translating those into design and development tasks
Understanding of USG Accessibility Standards (Section 508)
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior problem-solving skills
Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies
