Work Hours/Shift

FT Days

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

No Weekends/No On Call

You Will Be Responsible For:

* Maintains all the essential job functions of the Mammography Technologist
* Ensures compliance with protocols
* Oversees QC, QA programs and or accrediting functions
* Manages state inspections and accreditation renewals
* Performs other related duties as required and deemed necessary
* Follows Standard of Behavior guidelines per AdventHealth policy
* Maintains ethical relationships and cooperates with all personnel in proper conduct of department
* Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action
* Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
* Operates computer by typing in patient information needed for the examination and proper protocols for the procedure
* Verify and transmit each exam to the PACs System. This secures storage of each patient scanned for future reference
* Maintains adequate record of each procedure done
* Operates Cerner System proficiently, trouble shoots problems with orders and makes corrections within scope of user level
* Follows all safety and infection prevention policies and procedures
* Responsible for managing supplies for womens imaging suite
* May develop, deploy, and maintain protocols approved by radiologist
* Assures Imaging equipment is available and in good working condition by troubleshooting and reporting findings through the work order system.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, team members, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
* Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
* Ability to use sound judgment in emergency scenarios
* Ability to delegate clinical tasks/assign clinical activities in order to implement plans of care
* Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
* Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of a reporting structure for Mammography

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Associates degree in a related field or equivalent required. certified as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
* Three years of technical experience
* Radiation Safety
* Performance of 2D and 3D mammography exams
* Teamwork

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

* * Bachelor's degree in a related field, or combination of Associates Bachelor's degree and related experience
* Five years of technical experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
* Mammography ARRT Certification RT, (R) (M)
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* Must hold state license where applicable

Job Summary:

The Mammography Coordinator performs routine and special view mammograms under the direction of a radiologist. Maintains records of examinations performed. Obtains and documents patient clinical information as needed. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Assists in radiology department as needed. Responsibility to adhere to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
