ATE and AXI Test Engineer

Job Purpose:

Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing PCBAs using ICT and Flying Probe ATE machines. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. May be responsisible for setting the parameters and testing customer samples. Some Senior Test Engineering guidance will be provided.

Nature of Duties:

* Create and Modify ICT and Flying Probe Programs to be used on HP3070 and Takaya APT test machines
* Create test procedures, debug guides, and perform operator training
* Participate in weekly yield reviews and continuous improvement meetings
* Work directly with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments regarding process improvement
* Statistical analysis of ICT and Flying Probe test results and incoming supplier data
* ICT and Flying Probe test capacity analysis, and drives additional requirements with customers
* Gage RR, correlation studies, Cp/Cpk analysis, and Post build reports
* Participate in Lean Six Sigma projects
* Driving solutions to ICT and Flying Probe related problems
* Sourcing and ordering fixtures used for ICT and Flying Probe test

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree a relative engineering field
* 3 years experience in a Test Engineering role using HP3070 ICT and Takaya Flying Probe machines
* 1-2 years experience in creating ICT and FP test programs
* 3 years experience in PCBA test environment
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required
* Proficiency in understanding product documentation, including schematics and test specifications
* Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written
* Good interpersonal skills
* Able to lift 40 lbs.
* Able to use hand tools

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

* AXI 5DX and Vitrox program development
* Software development
* Contract Manufacturing experience
* Proficient in Google Suite
* Knowledge of Agile
* Electronic debug to component level
* Proven knowledge of production electronic assembly, inspection, test process
