Schedule: 9/80 work week (6a.m.-7a.m. start/flexible)
**Active Secret Security Clearance required**
**Periods of Installation-require 12 hour days, periods at sea & domestic/International travel.**
Fully proficient support individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.
Essential Functions:
* Perform assembly and technician level skills on equipment used in at-sea installations.
* General maintenance and repair on mechanical equipment. Assist in metal fabrication and assembly.
* Perform work as Marine Vessel Deck Crew during offshore cabled sensor installations.
* Perform basic rigging tasks associated with Crane Operations.
* Follow written procedures and drawings.
* Operate power tools.
* Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
* Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
* Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
* Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written, or verbal instructions.
* May work with complex machines or computer systems.
* Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
* Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Qualifications:
* Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills.
* Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior mechanical, or electromechanical experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior mechanical, or electromechanical experience,
* Ability to obtain & maintain a Active Secret Security Clearance required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
* General mechanical system operation understanding hydraulics.
* Experience as rigger for crane operations.
* Experience working offshore, on Marine Vessels and Barges.
* Experience with the logistics involved with the movement of large pieces of equipment domestically and internationally.
