Job Description

We are currently looking for a high-performing, hands-on leader to join our team as a Battery and Module Validation Engineer (VE).

This team is a driving force behind GMs Zero-Zero-Zero vision, and you will be integral to the success of our teams mission: executing Battery and Module Validation on time, with safety and quality. You will draw upon the skills learned in this role for the rest of your career regardless of your path.

As stated, its a very hands-on position with a broad range of responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

* Orchestrate planning, preparation, prioritization and execution of automated durability tests by interfacing with battery design, calibration, and development teams
* Create cutting-edge battery validation methods to address challenges as they arise in this rapidly evolving industry
* Develop battery electronics interfacing techniques to support validation testing locally and globally
* Perform root cause analysis and correction of system level problems relating to hardware validation
* Coordinate and support documentation of Design Review by Test Results (DRBTRs)
* Work with lead validation engineers to ensure issues are addressed with the PRTS system
* The VE will be engaged in programs throughout the development lifecycle

Additional Job Description

Required Skills / Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years of post-graduation engineering experience; 3+ years preferred.
* Ability to work with limited requirements/data and make effective decisions while emphasizing customer consideration and impact
* Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in Systems, Design, Calibration, Software, Release and Suppliers
* Ability to identify and remove roadblocks
* Comfortable and professional engagement with all levels of employment
* Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
* Creates and maintains team focused environment that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential to achieve overall team/program success
* Excellent organizational, oral and written communications skills
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or Chemistry

Preferred Skills /Qualifications

* Working knowledge of Battery testing cyclers, test automation system, calibration and electric vehicle development
* Knowledge of PRTS system
* Development, Validation, Calibration, or Design experience in Battery & Module technology, Electric Drive Units, Automatic Transmissions, and Gas or Diesel Engines
