The Team: As Amazon Physical Stores team, were trying to optimize shopping experience for Amazons Customers in the Physical retail space.
Amazon Go is a new kind of store with no lines and no checkoutyou just grab and go! Customers simply use the Amazon Go app to enter the store, take what they want from our selection of fresh, delicious meals and grocery essentials, and go!
Our checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by our Just Walk Out Technology, which automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. The Role: As a Industry Security Specialist, you will work closely with Software Development Engineers, Security Engineers, TPMs, and leaders throughout Physical Stores Organization to develop expertise in our security controls, policy and security standards program. The successful candidate will work across our engineering teams to identify ways to continually enhance the program by introducing preventative controls, process improvements, and automation. The Industry specialist will be responsible for driving large security control programs, driving security campaigns and on-boarding process that improves security posture based on the set security policies and standard.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive mission critical security controls, and work directly with top-tier developers to help shape the security posture of Amazon. As an Industry Specialist, you will be responsible for a set of long term security outcomes, policies and standard. Your day to day job responsibilities will include:
Working across security engineering and software development teams to derive security requirements, regulatory requirements, and respond to questions about security controls and publish across the organization.
Work with service teams to drive adherence to, and implementation of, security controls, policies and standard.
Driving large programs, security campaigns and onboarding process to roll out new security controls or onboard new security tools/automation programs across the organization.
Driving the key performance indicators to derive success metrics, communicating program status to service teams, control owners, and senior leadership on the status of your programs promptly and effectively.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of experience in security roles as an industry security specialist or security analyst, auditor, security engineer/architecture, security program manager, or relevant experience
3+ years of experience with implementation of security controls and driving rollout of controls.
4+ years of project management experience and demonstrated knowledge of program management best practices or relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or related fields.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Have experience driving security controls across large diverse organizations
Have experience generating automated metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
Solid foundation in service-oriented and web-service technologies to be able to understand service inter-dependencies and drive towards technical solutions for multi-tiered systems
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance controls and frameworks
Experience writing/editing Information security control documentation and/or compliance controls.
Demonstrate innovative security approaches in non-traditional IT environments
