You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator like you to be a part of our team.
Our Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the pharmacy clinical programs.
This includes formulary management, policy and procedure development and education across the healthcare spectrum. The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator shall be responsible for the critical care interdisciplinary rounds Monday through Friday.
* You will provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners and suggest appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff as needed.
* Support participation in daily multidisciplinary and bedside rounds.
* You will develop, manage and mentor pharmacy clinical programs such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs.
* Develop, manage and mentor for the antimicrobial management program (AMP).
* Responsible for design, analysis and reporting of adverse drug reactions, medication errors and pharmacy quality initiatives and mentors others in their roles in these programs.
* You will be the primary preceptor for pharmacy students and/or residents as it relates to clinical pharmacy services.
* Develop and manage specialty pharmacy practice programs as related to clinical pharmacy services.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
* Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy at a college or university; Bachelor's or Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree required
* Licensed Pharmacist through the Virginia Board of Health Professions
* Minimum of 1 year of Clinical Pharmacy Specialist experience
* Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
* Board of Pharmacy Specialist (BPS) Certification preferred
HOURS
* Full Time / 40 hours per week
* Salaried position, exempt from overtime
* Day Shift / No weekends
