General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is searching for a Software Developer to support the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Ordnance Information System (OIS) Program. This position is located in Mechanicsburg, PA, or Yorktown, VA.
The OIS Program maintains a global presence of ordnance logistics experts to provide front line support and training to our Warfare Enterprise customers. GDIT supports OIS by enabling critical real time worldwide ordnance visibility.
Responsibilities:
* The keyresponsibilitiesof theDevelopment Teamis to performworksprints as per the requirements provided by the Product Owner and coordinated by theScrumMaster. A regular standup meeting called the DailyScrumis followed to communicate project progress with the peers and theScrumMaster
Qualifications
* BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
* 4+ years of Agile/scrum experience with Web Development experience, both front end and back end: Java, Java Script, MVC/MVP and Database connection
* Experience with Web design from an application STIG perspective - coding to avoid vulnerabilities.
* Experience in areas such as the following: analysis and design of business applications on complex systems for large-scale computers, data base management, use of programming languages, and/or DBMS.
* Experience in interpreting software requirements and design specifications to code, and integrating and testing software components.
* Superior knowledge of developing functional requirements for complex integrated business systems and IT systems.

Additional knowledge expectations:
* Configuration Management, verification and validation, and software testing and integration, plus experience with software metrics and their application to software quality assessment.
* Knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods and demonstrated ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing, and debugging of computer programs.
* Experience analyzing user needs to determine functional requirements.
* Proficient at determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
* Adept at identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
* Some Knowledge and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is preferred.
* Experience as an applications programmer on large-scale IT systems and the ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives in a plus.
* Knowledge of and/or exposure to Agile or Scrum methods is a plus.

The likely salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
