The Senior Advisor will work as part of the Business Strategy team within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) organization. The Business Strategy team is responsible for T&D business planning, financial planning, regulatory planning, performance management, and the T&D Transformation Office. This includes the responsibility for developing the T&D portion of SCEs operating plans, annual goals, and strategic roadmap to deliver on key company objectives and the General Rate Case, , as well as serving in a performance management role crafted to drive accountability for T&Ds specific metrics and goals that span financial, regulatory, strategic, and operational dimensions.
The Senior Advisor will be essential in creating the performance visibility of T&D Major Programs that will enable senior management decisions. You will be part of a team that is primarily responsible for connecting the work performed in T&D to the dollars spent and will help identify key trends and issues that can help with course correction. This position will develop a deep subject matter expertise (SME) of T&Ds overall financial portfolio and strategy, in order to support the business-line financial, resource, and strategic plans and performance visibility.

* Provide leadership, oversight, facilitation, SME and coordination regarding the performance of T&D Major Programs
* Analyzes portfolio data to identify trends and potential errors that can provide insights into forecast changes or key decisions
* Coordinates quarterly performance deep dives into T&Ds portfolio
* Provide subject matter expertise during regulatory cycles in partnership with the business lines
* Consults on FRM requests and ensures forecasts and operating plans are updated as necessary
* Regularly develops and presents materials to senior and executive leadership on behalf of Business Strategy
* Influences senior management decision making and builds decision-support tools for leaders and business lines
* Performs scenario analysis to help clarify options for needed decisions
* Provides direction and mentoring to advisors and specialists
Qualifications
The essentials
* Ten years or more of experience in advanced data analysis (data mining, interpretation of data, pulling conclusions and insights from large, disparate, unstructured data sets & making recommendations) using advanced functions of Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools like PowerBI, PowerBI Pro, Alteryx software, or similar
* Ten years or more of experience in Project management with responsibilities for results in terms of costs, methods, and outcomes, in any of the following: asset management, business planning or strategic planning
* Experience creating and presenting complex topics to influence senior management
The preferred
* Bachelors degree or higher in Data Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Computer science, Mathematics or related analytical field
* Experience with Agile methods of working, SCRUM Mater or Product Owner Certification
* Deep understanding of T&Ds business models and processes
* Demonstrated problem identification and implementation of operational solutions
* Experience with integrating work across the organization
* Experience with delegation and providing direction to junior/new team members
* Operational experience (e.g., in District Operations) or equivalent experience in one of T&Ds business lines (e.g. Grid Resiliency PMO, Distribution, Transmission, etc.)
* Change management capabilities/comfortable implementing new processes using change management principles
* Process improvement and re-engineering with ability to find opportunities to redefine work processes to make more efficient, reduce manual labor, leverage automation
