Position Purpose Summary: 

The purpose of this position is to…analyze, design, develop, maintain and support the data and reports for all Data Warehouse business applications.  This position involves extensive user contact, training and support functions, as required.

Principal Accountabilities:

Perform feasibility analysis for system modifications and small system development and/or implementation projects.

Managing business areas for systems development, implementation and design activities.

Providing user support and training to current business applications.

Developing and maintaining computerized programs.

Performing design activities for specific business applications using data modeling and logical data structure concepts.

Reporting of progress on project assignments.

Developing of technical and user documentation for programs developed and supported.

Resolving problems for currently supported business applications.

Testing and quality assurance activities associated with business applications.

Performs all activities in accordance with department standards.

Position Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or Business

Five to eight years’ experience in mainframe, midrange or desktop application development or support. 
Relational Database or Data Warehouse development a plus.

 Knowledge in personal computer applications and development. 

 Knowledge of full cycle application development preferably in the Data Warehouse arena with an understanding of data modeling and logical data structure concepts.

 Basic understanding of Star Schema structures is a plus.

Relational and/or Data Warehouse Database Design, understanding of SQL structured code, Report Development tools (i.e. Cognos Impromptu/ PowerPlay, Crystal Reports, Business Objects), basic knowledge of MS Access and/or Visual Basic. 

 Excellent verbal and communication skills. 

 Excellent project management skills; knowledge of business practices; self-directed.

 Ability to travel.

 Other duties as assigned.
