Job Description

The Insurance Consultant IV is primarily responsible for offering insights, perspectives, advice and connection opportunities to their prospects, centers of influence, and clients.  They play a key role in assisting clients with making more informed and better decisions that improve their business performance in terms of operations, employee stability through benefits and wellness programs, risk management and multi-year strategy development.

How You'll Spend Your Time

You will develop new business and pursue defined target markets by initiating daily business development activities and creating prospect lists that result in qualified prospects that become clients of BOK Financial Insurance.  This includes, but is not limited to, pursuing leads, community activities, referrals, “cold calls”, strategic social media activities, smart networking, arranging webinars, conducting conference calls, developing centers of influence (COI), cross-selling with other divisions, special events, and coordinating meetings. You are a strategic contact for new relationships and serve to institutionalize those relationships across all divisions, when appropriate.

You will develop strategies and recommendations for prospects.  Seek to detect opportunities and investigate ways to improve client decision-making, assess the pros and cons of possible strategies, make recommendations for improvement, and implement agreed solutions and services.
You will obtain and follow up on information concerning underwriting, claims, etc., as requested by the operations team. You will conduct due diligence-like activities to gain an understanding of the client’s business and how the services proposed will integrate. 
You will gather census and policy data, financials, and other business information. You will prepare, submit, and present written proposals with regard to terms, conditions, costs, retentions, addendums, and exclusions. Adhere to policies, procedures, and service level agreements and timelines.
You will remain current in your area of expertise, including: current market dynamics, competition, pricing, legislation, compliance, carrier capabilities and appetites, and overall business acumen.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field of study and ­­6 years of directly related experience in ­­­­­­­­­­­­­insurance.
