Summary

CHS is seeking an experienced finance business partner to support our enterprise customer development team. This position will support our go-to-market (GTM) team by updating CHS1 (Transformation) business case analyses, supporting the annual budget and forecast processes, and performing financial reporting and analysis. In addition, this role will analyze capital expenditures, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives. This role will partner with CHS’ GTM business and leadership team and will report to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Enterprise Customer Development.

Responsibilities

Lead team of finance professionals supporting the GTM business and leadership team

Play instrumental role in recruiting and building team of analysts
Align finance associates to sales teams, ensuring optimal support and service
Review sales leaders’ needs, strategic initiatives, and objectives as well as operational modeling to develop recommended staffing needs
Complete talent and team development requirements to drive engagement and evolve

Serve as the finance lead and business partner for GTM function with a focus on capital & operating expense management

Communicate regularly with GTM leadership team to review performance
Provide financial guidance and support to GTM team
Provide financial leadership and oversight to project investments, evaluating and optimizing investments to ensure alignment with budget and GTM CHS1 workstream
Evaluate key metrics including return on investment for proposed initiatives, holding teams accountable for delivery against targets
Support analysis of GTM capital and operating expenditures
Champion innovation and transformation across the GTM organization to gain commitment

Build a forecast process, lead the GTM budgeting process, and oversee financial reporting

Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline our budget, forecast, and CHS1 financial update processes
Serve as a trusted business partner, demonstrating a deep understanding of strategic business priorities for GTM CHS1 workstreams
Own CHS1 business case updates and all relevant communication to sales leadership
Lead GTM budgeting and GTM CHS1 workstreams, ensuring costs and benefits are correctly budgeted and forecasted holistically and comprehensively
Work with enterprise FP&A and provide direction to GTM leaders to ensure all budget requirements and timelines are met
Ensure the right internal controls and overall infrastructure are in place to measure, understand and monitor results relative to action plans and milestones
Track, report and explain variances to budget, creating consistency with enterprise FP&A reporting
Provide guidance and direction to achieve expense targets, communicating with sales leaders on an ongoing basis

Develop a cadence of communications for reporting on actual results versus budget/forecast

Drive and improve GTM management reporting through automation and system optimization including KPIs
Provide sales leaders with financial reporting that improves transparency and clearly identifies performance against budget/target/forecast
Actively partner with sales leaders to review results, provide meaningful insights, and develop action plans
Provide actionable insights, financial counsel, and metrics to drive cost optimization and guide sound decision-making
Identify areas of opportunity to drive efficiency and automation of reports and distribution of information, partner with IT to execute improvements

Minimum Qualifications (required)

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
7+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis

Additional Qualifications

MBA/CPA/CMA
Experience with predictive and prescriptive analytics
Previous experience providing financial support to sales and sales support team
Experience with team recruitment, leadership, and talent development
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills across organization and to senior leaders
Experience with SAP/BPC and CRM Software
Proven ability to influence and partner with people at all levels of the organization
Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks at once
Confirmed proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting
Demonstrated learning agility with the ability to understand complex business problems
