Responsibilities
Summary
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Radiology Technician or X-Ray Technician working at our busy and successful eMedical Urgent Care ("EMO") facility in Berkeley Heights, NJ working a PRN Schedule. The X-Ray Tech / Rad Tech performs basic radiologist tests; oversees the production of x-rays; maintains appropriate record systems; and performs clinical duties as needed to include but not limited to rooming patients, taking vitals, performing lab tests and assisting the physician in our EMO office.
10- and 12-hour shifts are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; and a 9-hour shift is open on Sundays. We can schedule one or a combination of those days! Though 8 to 12 hour shifts are preferred, we would consider a more flexible schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient preparation, execute radiology tests, oversee x-ray production, and maintain accurate records and appropriate log entries.
Coordinate the reading of all x-ray films with physician, assist physician with lab tests and special procedures, and prepare patients for physician evaluations.
Assist physician in the evaluation and treatment of patients; administer medications/injections under the supervision of physician; and perform ordered procedures, EKG, venipuncture, and tray set-ups.
Assist in registering and discharging patients; pulling charts for results and filing necessary documentation in patient records.
Maintain well stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms.
Adhere to Information Security Policies and ensure that Envision is as secure as possible.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Knowledge of managed care policies and restrictions.
Ability to work as a member of a team and provide excellent customer service.
Able to work a PRN schedule.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
Current State License and ARRT Certified (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
1-3 years' experience performing diagnostic radiography.
Prior X-Ray / Radiology Technician experience in a hospital or physician office setting.
Experience with phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs, patient assessment, laboratory testing and processing.
Experience with administration of medications (oral, IM, sub-q, intradermal, IV, etc.).
Compensation:
Range of $33 - $35/hour based upon experience.
