Responsibilities
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Full time Ultrasound Technician.
Obtains clear, complete images and accurate measurements as required for all ultrasound studies.
Completes timely and accurate documentation.
Presents findings to supervising physician.
Assist physicians in minor procedures and other capacities as required.
Maintains patient privacy at all times.
Maintains appropriate demeanor and professional communication with patients throughout the ultrasound exam.
Reads and abides by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs.
Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company.
Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so.
Orients, trains, mentors, and precepts new employees and students, if applicable.
Maintains clinical procedure reference guides and ensures all procedures are followed with regard to ultrasound service standards.
Answers questions and serves as a resource for Ultrasound Technicians and staff.
Demonstrates leadership skills and is regarded by physicians and colleagues as a team lead.
Serves as a first point of contact for questions related to the specialty of sonography.
Stays current with trends in ultrasound care; provides in-services as needed to physicians and staff to communicate most current standards of care.
Serves as ultrasound tech leader in preparation for AIUM accreditation; gathers information and submits in a complete and timely manner to physician or manager.
Coordinates equipment and reporting system service, maintenance, and upgrades. Provides recommendations to managers during system upgrades. Coordinates training for system upgrades.
Provides feedback to manager for ultrasound technician performance reviews, corrective actions, rewards and recognition.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
Minimum 1 year experience in OB ultrasound.
Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
RDMS or ARRT certification in specialty preferred, required within 1 year of employment.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Computer Skills:
Experience with ultrasound reporting system required.
Experience with EHR preferred.
