Job Description

JOB DUTIES

- The RN is responsible for managing and providing nursing care for the patient populations on the unit.  This includes the immediate, short-term nursing care needs of patients as well as, planning for long-term needs. The KY Nurse Practice Act and established Hardin policies, procedures and standards of practice, determine the nurse’s scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY –

Graduate of school of nursing with current unrestricted KY license required, or higher. 

Requires good clinical, organizational, customer service and critical thinking skills. 

Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred on hire and required within 90 days of hire. 

Flexibility in work schedule, shift hours and job duties are required as well as basic computer skills. 

Prefer recent experience in specialty. NIHSS is mandatory and must be obtained within six months of employment.  

ACLS preferred, required within one year of hire. 

Recent critical care experience in ICU/CCU preferred.
